Step 1

Wash and pit the cherries. Place in a saucepan with the sugar and bring to the boil over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Let it simmer until syrupy over low heat for 30 – 40 minutes. Add lime juice, amaretto and aroma and stir in. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Fill the cherries into the prepared jars and seal airtight.
