Garlic butter
Aromatic and versatile – fresh garlic, soft butter, lemon zest and a dash of lemon juice combine to create this garlic butter, which is a delicious accompaniment to bread, steak or baked potatoes.

Step 1
Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves and mix with the butter in a small bowl.
Step 2
Wash the lemon with hot water and dry. Grate the lemon zest. Add about 1 teaspoon of zest to the butter and mix in with a little lemon juice.
Step 3
Season with salt and pepper. Stir in a little more lemon juice if desired.
Step 4
Pour the softened butter into a piping bag and pipe it into the prepared jars. Seal with a glass lid, preserving ring and two preserving clips and store in the fridge.
