Step 1

TO MAKE A MIX FOR GIFTING: Layer all the ingredients one after the other in an appropriately sized jar. Press each layer firmly. Give away a list of additional ingredients and the baking instructions along with the jar.

HOW TO BAKE: Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the baking mix in a bowl. Slowly add the water while stirring until a kneadable dough forms. Knead it vigorously for about 5 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Form ten rolls out of the dough, brush lightly with water and sprinkle the kernels and seeds on top. Bake in a hot oven for about 25 minutes.

  • 300.0 g Wheat flour type 1050
  • 0.5 sachet Dried yeast
  • 1.0 tsp Salt
  • 1.0 tsp Sugar
  • 100.0 g Wholemeal spelt flour
  • 20.0 g Poppy seeds
  • 30.0 g Sesame seeds
  • 50.0 g Pumpkin seeds
  • About 300 ml lukewarm water
  • Sprinkle with seeds and kernels as desired (can also be placed in a cellophane bag with the jar)
