Step 1

Remove the rack and preheat the oven to 180° C (gas mark 2 – 2 ½).

Grease the jars.

Roughly chop the walnuts.

Wash the apple and grate it finely.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, almonds, hazelnuts, baking powder and salt. Mix with the chopped walnuts and apple zest. Add tonka beans and lemon zest. Mix apple pulp, oil and milk into the mixture.

Pour the dough into the prepared jars and bake for about 30 - 35 minutes. Carry out a swab test! Remove and let cool.

Step 7

For longer durability, clean and degrease the rim of the jars. Close with preserving ring, glass lid and preserving clips. Heat in a 100°C water bath for 30 minutes to preserve. Remove and let cool. Remove the clips.
