Preserved cherries
Eingekochte Kirschen bringen den sommerlichen Geschmack sonnengereifter Früchte ins Vorratsregal. Die saftigen Süßkirschen werden in einem süßen Zuckersud haltbar gemacht und bleiben dabei wunderbar aromatisch. Sie schmecken pur, zu Desserts, Eis oder Kuchen und sind ideal, um die Kirschsaison zu verlängern.

Step 1
Sort the cherries, rinse and drain. Remove the stem and pit the fruit using a cherry stoner. Divide the cherries into the prepared jars. To make the stock, mix sugar and water in a pot and bring to the boil briefly. Pour the broth into the jars filled with cherries. Close the preserving jars with a preserving ring, glass lid and two preserving clips each. Heat in a 90°C water bath for 30 minutes to preserve. After the cooking time has elapsed, remove the jars and let them cool. Then remove the clips.
