Hazelnut liqueur
This liqueur is ideal for busy connoisseurs: it only needs to steep for a week before it can be enjoyed in small sips.

Step 1
Roast the hazelnuts in a pan over high heat until evenly brown, stirring constantly. Allow the nuts to cool slightly and do not chop them too finely. Then put the nuts in a sealable jar, fill with vodka and let them steep for about a week.
Step 2
Pour the vodka through a fine sieve or a cheesecloth and collect it. Stir in the sugar until it has dissolved or first dissolve the sugar in 40 ml of hot water and then add it to the alcohol.
Step 3
Pour the liqueur into a clean bottle.
Step 4
TipThe hazelnuts absorb some of the vodka. Many recipes can be refined with the “tipsy” nuts.
