Quince chutney
Fruity, spicy, simply different: our quince chutney brings bright autumn colours to your jar – perfect with cheese, bread or as a little surprise guest at your next meal.

Step 1
Wash, peel, core and dice quinces and apples.
Step 2
Place immediately in lemon water.
Step 3
Caramelise the white sugar in a saucepan until light brown.
Step 4
Add vinegar and bring to the boil briefly.
Step 5
Add brown sugar, remaining spices, water, apples and quinces.
Step 6
Let everything simmer for about 30 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the rosemary, cinnamon, bay leaves and garlic.
Step 8
Season with salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar.
Step 9
Pour into prepared jars (e.g. WECK tapered jar).
